LWC 8 Prisma 2022 is the sequel to the very popular LWC Carbon 7 from the previous collection, new for the 2022 model is that the racket has now instead received Varlion’s pioneering and unique PRISMA frame. The racket has a huge feeling and a lot of control! If you want to speed up the ball, you can easily do that too.

PRISMA FRAME

LW Carbon 8 Prisma, just as the name reveals, has been equipped with Varlion’s unique PRISMA frame. The PRISMA frame provides better aerodynamics and cuts through the air so that you can get a faster swing with 10% reduced air resistance, while the outer edge of the frame is reduced by 90% and is only a few millimeters wide so you have the smallest possible contact area go in the glass as you dig deep for the balls. All this means better maneuverability of the racket and greater acceleration capacity at hits.

PRSIMA BUMPER

On the other hand, we have reinforced its most delicate tip (head) with a self-adhesive bumper that adapts perfectly to its shape, Prisma bumper. This covers not only the frame but also its connection to the plane of the racket.

LW (LEATHAL WEAPON) SHAPE WITH GRADUAL HOLE-TECH

Just like previous years, the racket retains its round and generous shape, with medium balance, LW has a large and generous sweetspot. Just like in all Varlion’s rackets, the LWC 8 Prisma also has holes that are drilled in different sizes, something that Varlion calls Gradual Holes. This means that the holes are made smaller in the middle so that you can have as much hitting surface under the ball as possible and then made larger the closer they get to the frame. The reason for this is that you as a player should get a bigger sweetspot, regardless of model, and a more forgiving feeling.

CORE & SURFACE

The racket’s core is medium hard and gives a good bounce on the ball but can also withstand when you press extra hard. On the surface, Varlion has in an exclusive collaboration with Italy’s largest manufacturer of carbon fiber used a 3K carbon fiber that is used in well-known brands such as Ferrari. The carbon fiber maintains a higher standard than usual and also provides more performance.

SLICE-TECH

When it comes to applying effects to hits, it presents a rough texture in the plane called Slice, which has been designed and developed with a series of curved lines that make the ball stick more. As these contours are cast into the surface, the structure will never disappear.

SECURITY BELT

Unique to Varlion’s rackets is also the way the seat belt is attached to the handle itself instead of to the knob. This means that the seat belt is more or less impossible to tear.
